MAKE informed decisions

Staff at Marker Offshore have prepared numerous desktop studies for both long and short haul systems. The desktop will be used to inform planning, engineering, installation and maintenance decisions over the life cycle of the system. A typical desktop study will identify:

  • Potential landing sites

  • Existing submarine cables and pipelines

  • Other stakeholders

  • Geologic and seabed hazards along proposed routes

  • Fishing, anchoring and other bottom contact risks

  • Protected and culturally significant marine areas

  • Logistical concerns relative to installation and maintenance

  • Environmental and meteorological factors

  • Potential federal, state and local permits or licenses
