Marker Offshore was founded in 2017 by Chris Kemp. Prior to beginning this venture, he spent 15 years in many roles including in the commercial fishing industry, as a junior engineer for a civil consulting firm, a senior hydrographic survey technician on the NOAA Ship Whiting, and 10 years as a general manager for a private hydrographic firm.

Since growing up in coastal Alaska, he has spent his life on or near the water, which has shaped his desire to play an important role in the commerce, exploration, fisheries, research and discovery that rely on it.

Marker Offshore was created to further those ambitions and be a company we are proud to be a part of. Working hard, learning, improving, and returning safe, with the shared purpose of producing great work for our clients.
